My wife and I didn't do much in the way of social practices at all.
We had each other, and we said that's all we really needed. We had our five boys—that was a lot, that's the community itself—but we didn't have the connection with a diverse group of people.
Now, we have connections with people of all different ages, all different cultural backgrounds, all different interests. We can all come together and really share things as a community.
This has made one of the biggest differences in creating a life of excellence.
